WyzSelf ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the WyzSelf mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

Study materials: PDFs, photos of documents, and notes you import into the App. These materials are stored locally on your device and protected with AES-256-CBC end-to-end encryption. We cannot access your study materials.

Subscription data: If you subscribe to WyzSelf Pro, payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information, credit card numbers, or billing address.

1.2 Information Processed by AI

When you use the AI Quiz Generation feature (WyzSelf Pro), the text content of your study material is sent to our secure server (hosted on Vercel), which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. This transmission occurs only when you explicitly tap "Generate Quiz" and after you provide consent via an in-app prompt.

Important: Your text is used solely to generate quiz questions for your immediate use. Neither WyzSelf nor Anthropic stores, logs, or uses your content to train AI models. The text is processed in real time and discarded immediately after the quiz is generated.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Cookies or browser storage
• Photos or files beyond what you explicitly import

2. How Your Data Is Stored

All study materials, quiz results, flashcards, and progress data are stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database. Your data is protected with AES-256-CBC encryption using a master key stored in the iOS Keychain via Secure Enclave.

We do not have access to your encryption keys or decrypted data. If you uninstall the App, all local data is permanently deleted.

3. OCR and Photo Processing

When you scan a document or take a photo of your notes, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is performed locally on your device. The original photo and extracted text remain on your device and are never transmitted to external servers unless you choose to generate an AI quiz from the extracted content.

4. Third-Party Services

Anthropic Claude API: Used for AI quiz generation (Pro feature only). Text is transmitted via HTTPS to our proxy server and then to Anthropic. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat: Used for subscription management. RevenueCat processes anonymous subscription status data (no personal information). See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Apple App Store: Handles all payment processing for subscriptions. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Children's Privacy

WyzSelf does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not require account creation and does not collect personal information from any user.

6. Data Retention

All data is stored locally on your device. We retain no data on our servers. When you delete the App, all data is permanently removed. For AI quiz generation, text content is processed in real time and is not stored on our proxy server or by Anthropic.

7. Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your data at all times. You can delete all data by uninstalling the App. No request to us is necessary.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
